You are not too young to write a book!

“Writing is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.” – American author EL Doctorow.

You are never too young to write a book.

Gone are the days where one could only write a book based on life experiences.

Buhle Mthethwa (10) went against conventional thinking when she made the decision to write The Big Fat Naughty Cat.

In writing the book, the young author wanted to encourage her fellow peers to read and write more from an early age.

The book was published with help from Profounder Intelligence and Mthethwa’s parents.

The launch for The Big Fat Naughty Cat was held in Johannesburg in the beginning of December and there are plans to hold events in early 2018 in Cape Town and Durban.

Author Buhle Mthethwa (10) plans to start a book club to help her peers who cannot read

Mthethwa also plans to launch a book club, targetting children between the ages of four and 14.

She enjoys helping her peers to read using books from the local library.
